Event :    18th Triennial All India Conference

Dates:       22-24 May, 2017

Chief Guest: Shri Bandaru Dattatrey, Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C) of Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India

Special Guest: PadmaShri Shri Ashok Bhagath, Secretary, Vikas Bharati, Bishunpur Gumla Dist. Jharkhand. A grassroot activist who dedicated entire his life for the upliftment of Tribals for the last 35 years in the interior parts of Jharkhand.

Theme of the conference is “(खुशहा मज़दूर - समृद्ध भारत) Contented worker- Prosperous India”. Discussions will be held in and around the theme along with other relevant issues, like social security, environment, employment generation etc.

Major Events of the conference:

Inaugural Session will take place on 22nd May’2017, Monday, 10:00 to 12:00 hrs. Distinct significant leaders and personalities from various fields are expected to grace the event.

Symposia on India’s Developmental Direction: Retrospective and prospective – eminent economist and thinkers will discuss and present their viewpoint on the issue. BMS believes to achieve development for all, a paradigm shift with a balanced approach is required. We all must take responsibility to create a world of work where basic requirements of the last person of country are met. We need to create a social setup, which thinks about every individual, industry and nation as a whole. Guests for Symposia – Dr. Bajrang Lal Gupta,  Economist &Thinker, New Delhi; Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Former Chairman, Khadi & Village Industries & Shri C. K. Saji Narayanan, Former National President BMS, advocate and Vice Chairman of Second National Commission.

Women’s convention Prominent women leaders would grace the event and discuss the contribution, participation and challenges faced by the women workers at their workplace. If we must continue to follow the west or shall we make efforts to understand the difference in order to culture, psychology, mindset, philosophy etc. and create a society which support women of our country in real sense. In the west people have different priorities than in India. To avoid contradiction one must not try to blindly follow the other, for problems of Indian we need a suitable solution in Indian context. Guests for Women’s Convention – Kum. Geetatai Gunde, Mumbai, women activist who resigned from Glaxo India, founder member of Drishti, research centre of women studies and founder of Bharatiya Stree Shakti, she dedicated herself for motivating scores of women to work for the betterment of women folk.

Release of ‘Dattopant Thengadi Jivan Darshan’ Vol-9 – BMS has released 8 volumes of ‘Dattopant Thengadi Jivan Darshan’ on the life of Mananiya Thengadi Ji. Volume 9 of Thengadi Samagra shall be released during the conference

Special ideological talk on BMS’ ideologies. Brain storming to think ways to strengthen and carry forward these thoughts and ideologies.

Passing of resolutions on various current topics.
