BMS EXPRESSES IT’S THANKS TO HON. FINANCE MINISTER FOR ALLOTMENT OF 1000 CRORES TO TEA PLANTATIONS

The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) sincerely expresses its thanks to Hon. Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman and her team for considering BMS demand and providing Rs 1000’Crores to Assam & Bengal Tea Plantation Sectors.
 
BMS high-level Teams visited both the States of Eastern region and also Kerala & Tamil Nadu of South and brought the horrible plight of Tea workers to the notice of Government of India and State Governments too. It raised this issue in the pre-budget consultations also. The Hon. Minister responded positively. We express our thanks to her.
 
BMS congratulated the Government for its current efforts on massive vaccination, a special scheme for tea workers in West Bengal and Assam, labour oriented push on Infrastructure projects in the construction sector and development of five major fishing harbours viz. Kochi, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Paradip(Orissa), and Petuaghat (West Bengal) as hubs for economic activities, providing Social Security for Gig workers (e-platform workers) etc.
 
These measures will be more useful for Un Organised Workers. BMS welcomes all these steps wholeheartedly.
