BMS Veteran Shri Keshubhai Thakkar passed away

We are very sad to inform you that, our beloved Sri Keshu Bhai Thakkar has expired yesterday late at night. He was 96 years old. For the last 7 months, he was bedridden due to old age. He recovered from post-Covid effects but his food intake was gradually coming down. He was born on 5 August 1926. A staunch Swayamsevak who was very active in Sangh from 1939 onwards. Served as Sangha Pracharak for very few years. He was also Purnakalik Karyakarta ( Full Time Worker) of the first batch of PKKs and served BMS till his last breath Founded BMS Gujarat Unit in 1961-62 after consultations with Late Dattopant Thengadi Ji.He worked in BMS from scratches and become All India Vice President. He represented India as a Delegate in ILO Geneva Conference for 5 years. He worked as the Chairman of the Central Board of Workers Education ( CBWE) and emerged as one of the most popular Chairmen of the board. He was a voracious reader and read many books starting from Vedanta to Labour Economics. A good speaker of English. Master in many languages and also an effective orator. He started his carrier as a small employee of Sarabhai Chemicals, Vadodara and rouse up to the tallest leader. His death is a big loss to not only his family but to the entire Trade Union Movement of India.
