BRMS delegation met the Hon’ble Rail Minister on 20.11.2024 and discussed different issues related to Rail employees

A delegation of BMS/BRMS, led by Shri B. Surendran, All India Organising Secretary of BMS, met with the Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Shri Ashwini Vaishnav ji, to discuss various issues related to Indian Railways employees’ grievances.
The delegation raised issues related to Railway Trackmen, Engineers, Chief Loco Inspectors, Running Staff, Women, SC/ST and OBC employees and submitted a Charter of Demands to the Minister.
The main demands raised during the meeting were:
• Revision of Risk and Hardship Allowance to Track maintainers
• LDCE should be opened for all.
• To Provide ‘Rakshak’ Equipment for all Track maintainers at the earliest time.
• Night Duty Patrolling should be conducted in double, instead of single.
• Group ‘B’ status to SSE’s
• Remove stagnation in different categories and give level up to 7
• Revision of rates of the Kilometrage Allowance as per the RAC 1980 formul
• Providing basic amenities to women employees in the workplace.
The delegation comprises Sri Mangesh Deshpande, Secretary General BRMS; Sri Sanjeev Sinha, Deputy Secretary General, BRMS and Sri Kali Kumar, CWC Member BRMS.
The Hon’ble Minister discussed these issues in detail, responded positively and gave assurances for early action to resolve these demands.
The delegation thanked the Minister for his keen interest in addressing the demands of the employees.
